At Brinks Home, we're dedicated to providing top-notch security solutions for our customers. As a Commercial Security Alarm Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service low-voltage systems in accordance with Brinks Home standards and industry regulations.
  • Facilitate effective communication and leadership to ensure seamless service of common systems.
  • Service and repair complex systems, providing guidance and support to less senior technicians.
  • Provide training and support to less senior technicians.
  • Responsible for customer on-boarding and ensuring a smooth transition to our services.
  • Operate job-related mechanical equipment, such as bucket trucks and scissor lifts.
  • Communicate work in progress according to accepted procedures.
  • Understand and complete all necessary paperwork, including UL, FM, and Mercantile documentation.

Requirements:

  • A willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing industry.
  • Basic knowledge of low-voltage electronic systems.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Access, Fire, Intrusion, and VST systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of drawings, blueprints, plans, and job specifications.
  • Able to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization and customers.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain proper dress code and appearance.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Pass an extensive background check and drug screening process.
  • Able to obtain NICET I Certification.
