About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Associate to join our team as an Associate Outreach Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with our Housing Emergency Referral Operations Division (HERO) to identify and secure shelter for families and single adults in need of emergency housing assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with multiple agencies to facilitate cooperation and coordinate activities.
  • Assess each family's needs to match them with suitable shelter vacancies.
  • Coordinate referrals, arrivals, and transportation for families in need of temporary housing.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and vacancy forms.
  • Analyze and resolve problems related to placements, transfers, and room vacancies.
  • Work in shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or related activities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
