Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Planning: Develop and implement fire protection designs for various facilities, including commercial, industrial, and government buildings.
  • System Installation and Testing: Oversee the installation and testing of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • System Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire protection systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that all fire protection systems meet or exceed relevant codes and regulations, including NFPA, IBC, and UFC standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that fire protection systems meet their needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in fire protection engineering, design, and installation.
  • Skills: Proficiency in fire protection design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit. Knowledge of fire protection codes and regulations, including NFPA, IBC, and UFC standards.
  • Certifications: NICET certification in fire protection engineering or a related field.
