Banquet Director

At Omni Hotels, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Director to oversee all aspects of banquet events. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in food, beverage, service, and ambiance.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and coordinate all banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and social gatherings.
• Ensure proper staffing and timeliness of events, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff, including banquet coordinators, servers, and bartenders.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance service, safety, and product knowledge.
• Coordinate with supervisors and house attendants to ensure banquet needs are met, including food, equipment, and linens.
• Maintain theme prop inventories and equipment, ensuring all banquet areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Staff functions to optimize labor costs and maximize service, writing accurate schedules within designated staffing guidelines.
• Maintain uniform and linen inventories, performing all other administrative functions as required.
• Bi-monthly payroll, including tip pool breakdown, must be done accurately and on time.
• Evaluate and pre-plan for large groups and special functions, including holidays.
• Operate all special events, coordinating staffing and service.
• Work in a safe manner at all times, following all safety procedures outlined in the Standards of Conduct and Loss Prevention Manual.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years experience in Banquet Management/Director experience, preferably in a 4 or 5-star resort or convention hotel.
• Ability to perform all duties of Banquet staff.
• Must have a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to bend, push, pull, lift, and stand up to 8 hours.
• Must be STAR certified.
• Must be ServSafe certified.
