Job Title: Director of Banquets

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Banquets to lead our banquet team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and oversee all banquet events, ensuring quality of food, beverage, service, and ambiance.
  • Maintain proper staffing and timeliness of events.
  • Hire, discipline, and evaluate staff performance, documenting all aspects of employment.
  • Develop and implement training programs to stress service, safety, and product knowledge.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and house attendants to meet banquet needs.
  • Oversee maintenance of banquet equipment, function spaces, and cleanliness of all banquet areas.
  • Maintain theme prop inventories and equipment needs, including linen.
  • Staff functions to optimize labor costs and maximize service.
  • Write accurate schedules within designated staffing guidelines.
  • Maintain uniform and linen inventory.
  • Perform all other administrative functions required and communicate information from management meetings.
  • Bi-monthly payroll, including tip pool breakdown, done accurately and on time.
  • Evaluate and pre-plan for large groups and special functions, including holidays.
  • Operate all special events, coordinating staffing and service.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years experience in Banquet Management/Director experience, preferably in a 4 or 5-star resort or convention hotel.
  • Ability to perform all duties of Banquet staff.
  • Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, lift, and stand up to 8 hours.
  • STAR certified.
  • ServSafe certified.
