Maintenance Technician, Multifamily

A key member of our team, the Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and comfort of our residents' living spaces. As a skilled maintenance professional, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and support to our residents, responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs, to provide a quality move-in experience for our residents.
  • Respond to resident requests in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of maintenance functions, including plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities.
  • Participate in on-call scheduling to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Report any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Stay up-to-date on state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
  • Attend and participate in training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield.
  • Perform all duties in a timely manner, demonstrating a commitment to productivity and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II, and CPO or local city required certificate.
  • Ability to read and understand documents, including policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in routine situations.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, with regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, ascending and descending staircases, ladders, and/or step stools, and traveling outside between buildings in varying weather conditions.
