About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sediment Remediation Specialist to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our sediment remediation practice, you will play a crucial role in helping us grow our business and contribute to challenging environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop and implement a business development plan to bring in new clients and obtain repeat business from existing clients.
  • Project Management: Plan and implement investigation and remediation projects, including budgeting, schedule management, quality control, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor junior staff, as well as manage subcontractors.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis, including preparing maps and figures using GIS/Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, and database management.
  • Reporting: Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Client Communication: Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • Fieldwork: Conduct fieldwork, including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.
  • Team Leadership: Direct multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Industry Visibility: Help broaden our reputation through publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or a related field (required). Advanced degree in the same field (preferred).
  • Licensure: Professional registration (i.e., P.G. or P.E.) (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest marketplace (required). Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams (required). Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients (required). Proven leadership skills (required). Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required).
