Position Overview

The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist I is tasked with executing a range of technical responsibilities essential for the performance of echocardiographic assessments and ensuring the smooth operation of the echocardiography department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts and evaluates echocardiographic assessments, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and specialized procedures.
  • Responds to emergency situations as required; responsible for the transportation of equipment and patients.
  • Supports specialized procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
  • Processes and archives echocardiographic data using digital analysis systems.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of internal training initiatives and provides technical instruction on echocardiographic methods.
  • Participates in sanctioned research projects.
  • Delivers mobile echocardiography services as instructed.
  • Interprets and adheres to policies and guidelines to establish procedures and achieve objectives and deadlines.

The role is primarily conducted in a clinical setting. The individual is accountable for fulfilling all job-specific responsibilities and adhering to all organizational policies and procedures. Position Highlights

**Significant Signing Bonus Available for Eligible Candidates**

Completion of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound Training Program is mandatory. ARDMS or RCS Certification must be obtained within six months of employment.

Education and Experience Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience is necessary.

Certifications and Licenses

Basic Life Support Certification is required. Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer is also required within six months of hire.
