Job Summary:

TotalMed Allied is seeking a skilled and experienced Catheterization Laboratory Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting with various medical procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other interventional radiology procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing patients for procedures, including positioning, draping, and administering medications
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopy machines and angioplasty devices
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during procedures
  • Collaborate with interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient information, medications, and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and angioplasties
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
