We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Transportation Technician to join our team at Stormont Vail Health. As a Patient Transportation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients, visitors, and medical equipment throughout our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients, visitors, and medical equipment using various modes of transportation, including beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
- Assist in lifting patients into beds and delivering them to their required destinations.
- Transport patients according to proper procedure and maintain accurate logs of items picked up and delivered.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to ensure seamless transportation services.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
- 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Occasional exposure to chemical substances, infectious diseases, and other atmospheric conditions.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including patient rooms, hallways, and outdoor areas.
