Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Nurse to join our team at Guidehouse. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in conducting clinical research studies. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the protection of human subjects and patient-oriented care during research participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators and research teams to design, implement, and manage clinical trials, including data collection and management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure informed consent and patient recruitment and retention.
  • Conduct feasibility reviews to assess the ability to implement protocols within local nursing care practices and standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies to address institutional and external barriers to protocol compliance.
  • Provide education and training to research staff on clinical research and protocol-specific standards of practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) with two years of experience in nursing, clinical, research, and/or related settings.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in nursing, clinical, research, and/or related settings.
  • Licensed as a nurse in any US state.
  • Ability to be credentialed by the NIH Clinical Center.
  • Knowledge of environmental safety, including infection control, isolation technique, aseptic technique, and general security.
  • Knowledge of federal regulatory requirements pertaining to clinical research.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
