Colorado Christian University is seeking a highly qualified Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will contribute to the University's mission of Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the mission, goals, outcomes, and organizing framework of the nursing education programs in the School of Nursing.
  • Actively participate in all areas of program and curriculum development, delivery, assessment, evaluation, and revision.
  • Integrate biblical principles and concepts into all areas of teaching.
  • Collaborate with peers annually in evaluation of program effectiveness, including program initiatives for quality improvement.
  • Actively participate in School and university activities, including participation within the nursing faculty organization (NFO) committee work.
  • In collaboration with the Director, complete affiliate evaluations annually.
  • Demonstrate high-level communication within the student-faculty relationship.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of diverse learning styles, including adult learning, and campus-based student learning, education theory; evaluation and assessment of learners, and diverse teaching strategies.
  • Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes and clinical competencies.
  • Advise students academically each semester or as needed in their academic achievement, career planning, and spiritual formation.
  • Actively engage in scholarship, professional development, and service to the university, the profession, and the community annually and create a personal professional portfolio to validate these activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Evidence-Based Practice or Best Practice guidelines in own specialty.
  • Maintain clinical competency in area of specialty as defined by Faculty Outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinical agencies and clinical community partners.
Requirements
  • A doctorate degree in nursing or a related field is preferred; a master's degree in nursing is required.
  • An active unencumbered Colorado or multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
  • Two years of full-time teaching experience in a baccalaureate and higher degree nationally accredited nursing program, preferred.
  • Documented evidence of competency in teaching, curriculum development, program evaluation, scholarship, and service to the profession, preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High energy, innovation, enthusiasm, and commitment to nursing as ministry.
  • Passion for faith-based higher education and dedication to student success.

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Backboard or a similar learning management system.
