We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Aircraft Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleThis is a key position in our Aeronautics Systems division, where you will be responsible for designing and integrating aircraft mechanical systems. Your expertise will be essential in developing mechanical architecture and selecting components for aircraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems architecture
- Specify and select aircraft mechanical systems components
- Qualify and certify mechanical systems components
- Provide support to lab testing and verification activities
- Coordinate integration activities with stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (or higher) and 4 years of engineering experience (or Master's degree and 2 years of experience)
- Prior experience with 3D CAD software applications
- The ability to transfer and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time
Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering background is highly desirable, as well as experience with specification, selection, and qualification of aircraft actuation hardware.
