We are seeking a skilled Principal Flight Avionics Responsible Engineer to join our team of experts in Melbourne, Florida. This position will be part of Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, where we develop revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world.

In this role, you will be responsible for integrating aircraft cockpit systems and components, including Flight Management Computer (FMC), Primary Flight Displays (PFDs), Control Display Units (CDUs), and other avionics systems. You will also assist in the preparation and support of verification of aircraft avionics and Prime Mission Equipment installations and aircraft certification documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related professional/military experience in engineering, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of related professional/military experience in engineering, or a Ph.D. in a STEM field and 0 years of related professional/military experience in engineering.

You must also have experience working with Military Subsystems or Avionics Systems Environmental Qualification (EQ), an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain DOD Top Secret Security Clearance.

PREFERRED qualifications include experience with design, development, and integration of flight deck equipment, system modeling and requirements management tools, and experience with Military Navigation and Navigation Aids.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $92,600 - $139,000 per year. Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
