Position Overview

The Logistics Warehouse Specialist is dedicated to surpassing customer expectations by ensuring that orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. This role involves fulfilling order tasks with precision while maintaining a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

To excel in this position, an employee must effectively perform the following essential functions:

Order Fulfillment
  • Retrieve products from inventory based on picking lists and organize them appropriately;
  • Extract items from storage based on specified criteria such as size, color, and quantity;
  • Utilize scanning devices to ensure accurate order picking and inventory management.
Verification of Orders
  • Confirm that selected items correspond with the invoice details by checking manufacturer names and item descriptions;
  • Ensure the quantity of picked items matches the invoice requirements;
  • For time-sensitive products, check that expiration dates are suitable for customer delivery;
  • Verify that all items listed on the invoice have been collected;
  • For composite items, ensure all necessary components are included.
Packing Procedures
  • Count and verify item quantities against the invoice;
  • Match shipping labels with the corresponding invoice information;
  • Select appropriate packaging materials and labels;
  • Adhere to regulatory standards when packing classified items;
  • Prepare shipping documentation for hazardous materials as required.
Shipping Management
  • For non-automated packages: weigh items, determine shipping methods, verify labeling, and apply shipping labels;
  • For automated packages: check and rectify any discrepancies.
Special Handling
  • Process orders that require special attention as directed by team members or clients.
Order Processing
  • Fulfill client orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following:

  • Conduct all business in accordance with Patterson Company LLC's ethical standards;
  • Align with the company's mission, vision, and values;
  • Utilize warehouse equipment to perform assigned tasks;
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and key performance indicators;
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment;
  • Handle hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and applicable laws;
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred;
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities;
  • Capability to meet deadlines and productivity targets.
Work Environment

Equipment Used:

  • General warehouse machinery;
  • Office equipment;
  • Software for inventory management and shipping.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement throughout the warehouse;
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds, with team lifting for heavier items;
  • Regular use of hands for various tasks;
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or climbing.
