Position Overview

The Logistics Warehouse Specialist is dedicated to surpassing customer expectations by ensuring that orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and promptly. This role is essential in achieving order fulfillment goals while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

To excel in this position, an employee must effectively perform the following key responsibilities:

Order Fulfillment
  • Retrieve products from the inventory based on the picking list and organize them appropriately;
  • Extract items from storage according to specified criteria such as size, color, and quantity;
  • Utilize scanning devices to ensure accurate order picking and inventory management.
Verification Process
  • Confirm that selected items correspond with the invoice by checking the manufacturer details and item descriptions;
  • Ensure the quantity of items picked matches the invoice specifications;
  • For perishable goods, verify that expiration dates are suitable for customer delivery;
  • Check that all items listed on the invoice have been accurately picked;
  • For multi-component items, ensure all necessary parts are included.
Packing Procedures
  • Count and verify item quantities against the invoice;
  • Match shipping labels with the corresponding invoice information;
  • Select appropriate packaging materials and labels;
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines when packing items classified under specific regulations;
  • Prepare necessary shipping documentation for hazardous materials.
Shipping Documentation
  • For non-automated packages: weigh items, determine the best shipping method, verify labeling, and apply shipping labels;
  • For automated packages: check and rectify any discrepancies.
Special Handling
  • Process orders that require special handling as directed by branch personnel or sales staff.
Order Management
  • Fulfill orders for existing or new clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the incumbent may also:

  • Conduct all business in alignment with Patterson Company LLC's ethical standards;
  • Support the company’s Purpose, Vision, and Values;
  • Utilize assigned warehouse equipment and machinery effectively;
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment;
  • Handle hazardous materials in compliance with company procedures and legal regulations;
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred;
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic;
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and productivity targets.
Work Environment

Equipment Utilized:

  • General warehouse and office equipment;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software;
  • Potential training and certification for various forklifts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Active movement throughout the workday;
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and maneuvering in confined spaces;
  • Exposure to dust and other warehouse conditions.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds; team lifting for heavier items;
  • Frequent physical activity including sitting, standing, and using hands;
  • Occasional climbing or descending ladders.
