Pediatric Nephrology Inpatient Consult Physician Assistant

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Nephrology division at Children's Health, Dallas. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with renal disorders in the inpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology studies
- Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to improve clinical and system practice performance
- Participate in quality-related initiatives and apply evidence-based best practices to patient care
- Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field
- Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization consistent with clinical practice area and patient population
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CPNP-AC) by the Texas State Board of Nursing
- Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
