Pediatric Nephrology Inpatient Consult Physician Assistant

The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team within the UT Southwestern Pediatric Nephrology division at Children's Health, Dallas to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with renal disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
- Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate in research projects and protocols, and apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.
- Master's degree or higher in nursing, or a Master's degree or higher in a related field.
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CPNP-AC) by the Texas State Board of Nursing, or licensure as a Physician Assistant by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
