About the Role

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this position include:


  • Performing nuclear medicine studies using accepted techniques and practices to ensure high-quality results.
  • Operating and maintaining equipment safely and efficiently to minimize patient exposure to radiation.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with internal staff and ancillary areas to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Providing professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • One year or more of experience as a technologist in a full-service Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department.
  • A graduate degree in Nuclear Medicine or a related field.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine issued by the State of California (CNMT), the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-NM), or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and arithmetic skills, with the ability to complete job-related calculations and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Current CPR certification.
