Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in our emergency department.
About the RoleThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for coordinating and directing nursing care in the emergency department. This includes ensuring efficient throughput, high-quality patient care, and a positive patient experience. The CNC will work closely with the management team to develop and implement nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the emergency department.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommends and implements courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of two years of ED RN experience in an acute care setting. You must also obtain the Trauma Nursing Core Course and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within one year of employment start date.
