Join Our Team as a Diesel Instructor

We are seeking an experienced diesel engine instructor to join our team at Universal Technical Institute. As a diesel instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds and skills of our students, guiding them to a promising career in the diesel industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive learning environments for students to flourish and gain real-world experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines.
  • Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
  • Guide and mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
  • Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of practical work experience in the field
  • ASE certifications are highly valued, but if not current, we will pay for you to obtain
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with students and fellow staff
  • Patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace
