Job Opportunity: Diesel Instructor

We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team as an instructor at Universal Technical Institute. As a diesel instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and skills of our students, guiding them to a promising career in the diesel industry.



Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences for students, fostering their passion for diesel mechanics.
  • Lead hands-on training sessions, providing practical demonstrations and real-world experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines.
  • Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
  • Mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging critical thinking and innovative solutions.
  • Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of practical work experience in the diesel industry.
  • ASE certifications are highly valued, but we will pay for you to obtain them if needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective connections with students and fellow staff.
  • Patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace.


We offer a competitive hourly rate of $32-$35, with opportunities for overtime. You will also receive paid training, free tuition for you and your immediate family, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K.
