GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The role at Tailgaters involves engaging with, entertaining, and providing outstanding service and hospitality to every guest. This position encompasses selling food and beverages and emphasizes a lively, energetic personality with knowledge of sports, food, and drinks. The role requires adherence to Tailgaters' Image & Costume Guidelines.

THE ATTIRE:The uniform is a defining aspect of the Tailgaters experience. Therefore, all employees must comply with the Image & Costume Guidelines while on duty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Adhering to all Image & Costume Guidelines
  • Engaging with and entertaining guests
  • Promoting events and specials to enhance business goodwill and profitability both in-store and on social media
  • Delivering exceptional service and hospitality, including greeting guests, taking orders, suggestive selling, inputting orders, delivering food and drinks, checking back for re-orders, pre-bussing, and settling checks
  • Executing any additional tasks as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:No prior experience or training is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Must effectively communicate in English.
  • Must be able to read and understand the menu, write and input orders, and operate a computerized register system.
  • Must be capable of suggestively selling menu items.
  • Must effectively communicate with guests to enhance their experience.

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple, one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to handle standardized situations with minimal variability.
  • Ability to compute proper change and accurately settle checks.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Must attend orientation and adhere to Tailgaters' policies and procedures.
  • Must complete the Tailgaters training program before working independently.
  • Must complete any required training, including food and/or alcohol service certifications, as per local and state regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and communicate with guests.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
