About the Role

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse to join our team. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes, helping them to recover from hospitalization and maintain their independence.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care for our patients
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with our team
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies as needed
  • Document care provided in our system of record, ensuring compliance and timeliness
  • Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease management
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on patient concerns and changes in condition

Requirements
  • Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • At least six months of prior hands-on nursing experience
