We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Cardiac Care Nurse Extern PRN Transitional to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Job SummaryThe Cardiac Care Nurse Extern PRN Transitional will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with patient care, including direct and indirect patient care, patient mobility, and education. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our clinical team to create and implement care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care
- Provide patient education on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement care plans
- Assist with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and ambulating patients
- Document patient information and progress in the electronic medical record
- Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
