Job SummaryThe LPN Extern will provide direct, evidence-based care to patients under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN). This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care and a passion for advancing the practice of nursing.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients as directed by the physician or RN
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Serve as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care
- Currently enrolled in school to obtain LPN with Fundamentals and some clinicals completed
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Vocational School Graduate
