Role Responsibilities:
The Executive Housekeeper is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that we consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining financial success. This role requires a hands-on approach, embodying our philosophy of 'ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.' The Executive Housekeeper will also innovate strategies that align with our mission to be the premier hotel company in the region.
Key Duties Include:
- Promote and engage in internal development programs.
- Exemplify and uphold our company culture.
- Achieve and surpass company objectives and performance metrics.
- Complete all mandatory training sessions.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and brand-specific guidelines.
- Assist management with additional tasks to enhance hotel operations and guest services.
- Deliver personalized and friendly service to all guests and team members.
- Schedule housekeeping staff based on occupancy forecasts.
- Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping and laundry personnel in collaboration with the General Manager, adhering to brand standards.
- Conduct timely evaluations and manage staff performance.
- Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Conduct inspections of rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Document discrepancies noted in the night auditor's reports.
- Report any unusual incidents that may indicate potential issues.
- Ensure the secure return of keys and key cards.
- Maintain the lost and found inventory and records.
- Manage linen and uniform inventories, conducting monthly assessments and ordering supplies as needed with General Manager approval.
- Possess knowledge of other departments and demonstrate a willingness to assist.
- Act as a liaison between front desk operations and housekeeping.
- Address guest inquiries and feedback in a courteous manner.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Essential Qualifications:
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations, including financial and personnel matters.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests, associates, and hotel property.
- Understand fire alarm systems and emergency procedures.
- Be available for scheduled shifts as required.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and integrity.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
- Work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Complete 8-hour shifts in confined spaces.
- Possess good vision and dexterity for operating equipment.
