Position Overview: The Student Advocate plays a crucial role in collaborating with students, families, and educational staff to enhance attendance and academic performance for students facing challenges. This position emphasizes fostering parental involvement and aims to boost both academic success and school attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular meetings with students to track attendance and offer support
  • Identify obstacles to success and connect students with essential resources
  • Maintain open lines of communication with students and relevant adults
  • Create tailored action plans based on the unique needs of each student and family
  • Coordinate services with educational and community resources
  • Provide counseling, case management, and ongoing follow-up
  • Implement program initiatives
  • Input data into the organization's system
  • Ensure client files are maintained with confidentiality
  • Participate in mandatory training and orientation sessions

  • Represent the organization at community events

Qualifications and Skills:

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The role requires the ability to sit, communicate effectively, and perform tasks that necessitate manual dexterity. Evening and weekend availability may be required. The position involves minimal physical exertion.
