Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fire Project Coordinator to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of fire alarm and suppression projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Construction Managers and Project Managers with coordination and documentation of fire alarm and suppression projects.
  • Order equipment and materials for install base projects, including day-to-day general office duties as assigned.
  • Monitor project status and communicate with customers and sales reps regarding material and labor requirements.
  • Ensure required engineering is performed to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with TIS supervisor and/or construction manager to meet customer labor requirements.
  • Process change orders, release equipment, file certificates of insurance, and warranty letters.
  • Bill projects, compile back-ups such as certified payroll and work tickets.
  • Handle customer and contract disputes as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment to job sites and close-out documents.
  • Creation of purchase orders for subcontractors.
  • Procurement and verification of project schedules.
  • Attend work-in-progress meetings.
  • Track project RFIs, change orders, and other pertinent documentation.
  • Coordinate and follow up with sales teams regarding project bookings and releases from COE/credit holds.
  • Assist with accounts receivable.
  • Act as a facilitator and point-person for information sharing between OTC, district, and select customers as directed by ACSM.
  • Support dispute resolution in resolving disputes when requested by AR collectors or the dispute team.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of ACE, OASys, Job Cost Systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivating.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Positive attitude a must.
  • Punctual and accountable.
  • Experience dealing with customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume, customer service-oriented position.
  • Electrical/construction industry experience is helpful.
