Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer, Virtualization and Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Bayside Solutions, Inc. This role will focus on supporting Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) virtualization platforms, Linux compute environments, and capacity planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation scripts to publish data into data lakes and build dashboards using Apache Superset.
  • Set up alerts and monitoring systems using Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Analyze demand and capacity data to manage and forecast future capacity requirements.
  • Optimize infrastructure resource utilization.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience with IaaS orchestration tools such as OpenStack and CloudStack.
  • Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
  • Experience with Linux system virtualization (libvirt, QEMU, KVM).
  • Working knowledge of common authentication schemes, certificates, and securely managing secrets.
  • Ability to develop advanced telemetry and observability for services at various levels.
  • Experience managing, scaling, and troubleshooting Java applications is a plus.
  • Golang, Bash, Python, or Java experience with tool building and automation is preferred.
