Position Information

The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and healthcare team.
  • Administer oxygen therapy and manage patient airways.
  • Provide nebulized medications and manage patient secretions.

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification (required)
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required within 1 year of hire)

Work Schedule

3 days, 12 hours per week

Weekend and Call Requirements

Every third weekend, with call requirements
