Respiratory Therapist, Emergency Department

WakeMed is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities- Administer respiratory care to patients, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy with communication to the physician and healthcare team.
- Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, vision, and values in the management of patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 30 days of hire.
7pm-7am, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
