Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Travelers Indemnity Co. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying data solutions that capture, explore, transform, and utilize data to support Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and business intelligence/insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build complex data solutions, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Develop and implement data governance, data security, and data quality policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze data sources to determine value and recommend data to include in analytical processes.
  • Perform data and system analysis, assessment, and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient use of cloud platforms, programming languages, and software engineering practices.
  • Experience working with AWS and Databricks is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
