Job Summary:

The Property Facility Mechanic II is a skilled tradesperson responsible for performing a variety of facility-related tasks and improvements. This includes manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of facilities and grounds, which includes light construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, basic masonry, and carpentry. The successful candidate will perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on properties and facilities, including electrical systems. They will also regularly inspect properties for safety and security issues, practice safety-conscious behaviors, and work independently without reliance on others for instruction and guidance. Additionally, the Property Facility Mechanic II will assist in electrical servicing of all buildings located at Air Park, perform grounds maintenance, and ensure all necessary areas are mowed and trimmed to provide a pleasant appearance. They will also conduct snow plowing, shoveling, and salting of all parking lots and sidewalks to all facilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of OSHA and Federal and State regulations, as well as good knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment across various disciplines. They must be able to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces, and perform work at heights. The Property Facility Mechanic II must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D, possess the ability to use the English language to communicate accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers, and have a valid Driver's License. They will also have two to five years of property/facility maintenance experience, knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of building structures, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment fixtures. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of OSHA and Federal and State regulations, as well as good knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment across various disciplines.

Preferred Skills:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with high and low voltage up to and including 480 volt, 3 phase, two years maintaining airport lighting systems, pavement, and grounds, and a Class B CDL License. They will also have demonstrated analytical skills and advanced technical training and certifications are highly desired.
