Senior Power Plant Technician:
Completion of an accredited high school program or equivalent, plus four (4) years of experience in maintenance or operations within a power generation facility or heavy industrial setting. An Associate's Degree may replace two (2) years of experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
None.

Power Plant Operations Specialist:
Completion of an accredited high school program or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in maintenance or operations within a power generation facility or heavy industrial setting. An Associate's Degree may replace two years of experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
None.

Lead Power Plant Maintenance Technician:
Completion of an accredited high school program or equivalent and eight (8) years of experience in maintenance or operations within a power generation facility or heavy industrial setting. An Associate's Degree may replace two years of experience.

None.

Notes to Applicants:
This role requires the ability to troubleshoot and resolve intricate equipment issues related to electric generating facilities in the electrical or instrumentation and control disciplines with minimal supervision. Mastery in electrical or instrumentation and control crafts through the power production job progression program is essential. This position is critical for maintaining essential operations, and employees in this role must report to work during adverse weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events that necessitate emergency operations.

Physical Demands:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include continuous outdoor activity, frequent sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting of the upper body, climbing, exposure to extreme temperatures, inclement weather, noise, mechanical hazards, fume/odor/dust hazards, electrical hazards, occasional kneeling, crawling, and the ability to carry/lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Work Hours:
Hours may vary based on operational needs and may include overtime beyond regular shifts and weekends.

Training:
This position requires Arc Flash Safety training.

Essential Employee Designation:
This role is classified as essential. In emergencies designated by the City, essential employees provide services critical to public health, safety, utility services, and community welfare, ensuring the continuity of vital operations. Essential employees may be called back, required to adjust their schedules, assigned to designated work sites, or retained on-site to assist with operations and recovery.
