Eaton Aerospace is seeking a skilled Assembler - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek) to join our team in Arden, NC. This production role involves performing winding, assembly, and complex wiring tasks to produce complete sub-assemblies and final control equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for checking electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
- Determine necessary parts and materials, and prepare requisitions to obtain parts and materials from stock.
- Prepare wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals, and operate power tools, including battery-powered and compressed air.
- Route out, assemble, wire, adjust, fit, and modify parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assemblies.
- Check electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards and make necessary adjustments and alignments.
- Execute engineering and customer changes, and make repairs as required.
- Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coaches and maintain records as required.
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Avery Creek, NC. Active-duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement.
- Mechanical and electrical background preferred.
- Able to lift 35 pounds, waist, shoulder, overhead.
- Able to do some lifting, bending, ladder work, and other forms of movement.
- Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Proven history of safe work habits.
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
- Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends.
