Avery Creek Pet Hospital is a full-service animal hospital located in Arden, North Carolina, next to Lake Julian and just south of Asheville. Our hospital was founded in 2002 and has been providing veterinary care to dogs and cats for over two decades.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Avery Creek Pet Hospital. As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients while developing strong relationships with their owners. Your expertise will be essential in delivering exceptional client experiences and promoting the health and well-being of our furry friends.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to dogs and cats, including physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, communicating effectively with clients to ensure their understanding and satisfaction
  • Monitor associate doctor performance and production, contributing to the hospital's financial success
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attending Continuing Education meetings
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and high-quality care
  • Represent the hospital positively in the professional community and to the general public
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in North Carolina
  • 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with leadership/management experience preferred
  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to lead the team through a variety of cases and demonstrate respect for clients and their pets
