About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Intensive Care Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Southeastern Health. As an integral part of our critical care team, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing critically ill patients in our Intensive Care setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage critically ill patients in the Intensive Care setting
  • Treat and manage acute and chronic illnesses/injuries through administering, dispensing, and prescribing therapeutic measures, tests, procedures, and drugs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and degree from an acceptable Type A Physician Assistant Program recognized by the Board of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences or a program otherwise designated for Physician Assistants which has been approved by the NC Board of Medical Examiners or the AMA
  • Registration with the NC Board of Medical Examiners as a Physician Assistant or eligibility within two years of completing PA program OR Registered Nurse who has successfully completed a graduate nursing education program with board certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or eligibility for board certification within two years of completing the NP program
  • Current and valid NC license to practice as a registered nurse with NC Board of Nursing and NC Medical Board approval to use the title Nurse Practitioner
  • Valid DEA number from the Drug Enforcement Agency
  • 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years approved by relevant credentialing bodies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nurse Practitioners with MSN and valid FNP certificate upon hire or Physician Assistants with valid certification by the AMA as a PA upon hire
  • Previous experience as a NP or PA in an acute care or physician's practice setting and ACLS certified upon hire

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year based on location and experience
