About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. As a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough medical histories and conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe medications and order laboratory tests as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited APRN program.
  • Experience working in correctional settings or with populations with complex mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
