Job Title: Security Administrator

At Peerless Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Security Administrator to join our team. As a Security Administrator, you will be responsible for providing specialized security support in the administration of security processes and procedures in accordance with DOD Volumes 1-3.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and administer personnel security records via Government security systems such as Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Scattered Castles in accordance with the 32 CFR, Part 117, NISPOM.
  • Process security classification billet requests (Secret, Top Secret, SCI, SAP).
  • Prepare courier cards/letters.
  • Perform scanning and duplication of various security documents and other program documentation, filing of documents, and maintaining of hardcopy and electronic files of program documents.
  • Conduct destruction (shredding/burning) of classified materials and maintain all document destruction records.
  • Provide accounting and controlling of all documents and data transfers, to include the assigning of document control serial numbers, maintaining document control records, issuing of bar codes, conducting document inventory and audits, the preparation and processing of receipts, the preparation of materials for transmission and wrapping documents and/or packages for delivery.
  • Support the development of Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide specialized expertise for all security programs, to include information security, personnel security, physical security, communications security, TEMPEST, and computer security.
  • Process and manage SAP Pre-Screening Questionnaires (PSQ) and Program Access Requests (PAR).
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in an administrative role in a security environment.
  • Four (4) years' experience working in an administrative role in a security environment.
  • Preferred an Associate degree or specific training.
  • Possess specific experience and demonstrated understanding of the following security operations:
    • Knowledge of OPSEC, personnel, industry, physical, IT/IA, and information security principles.
    • Possess a working knowledge of Government and Industry Security regulations and contractor clearances.
    • Possess experience using DISS and Scattered Castles personnel clearance databases.
  • Prefer the following training completion certificate from the Center of Development of Security Excellence (CDSE):
    • Insider Threat Awareness Course CI121.06.
    • Introduction to DoD Security Specialist Course GS020.16.
    • DoD Security Specialist Course (SCC) VILT GS101.10.
    • Introduction to Personnel Security PS113.16.
    • DISS VS Virtual Training for Security Professionals PS123.15 plus the corresponding final exam.
    • OPM - eQip Web Based Training.
    • SCI Security Refresher SCI100.16.
    • SAP Overview SA001.16.
  • Required TS/SCI eligibility and eligible for SAP access. CI Poly within the last 5 years, is preferred.
Education:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Clearance: Top Secret/SCI.
