Responsibilities

  • Provide dietary support and client menu planning to ensure the nutritional needs of our clients are met.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked kitchen, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Cook and bake as needed to provide healthy and nutritious meals for our clients.
  • Discern between appropriate and inappropriate client eating behaviors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Consult with the Registered Dietitian to ensure the implementation of the best standard of nutrition and dietary services.
  • Monitor client consumption of appropriate exchange patterns and enforce dietary program guidelines.
  • Lead nutrition education groups, providing engaging and informative sessions on healthy eating and nutrition.
  • Implement specific dietary exchange patterns, utilizing knowledge of portion size and caloric recommendations set by the Registered Dietitian.

Requirements

  • Ability to work part-time, including weekends and evenings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
