Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team at Through the Looking Glass in the East Bay area. This is a full-time position that involves working with children under the age of three with disabilities and their families in their homes or centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct home-based assessments and provide early intervention for children under three years old.
  • Collaborate with TLG mental health staff to deliver comprehensive services to families.
  • Support parents and caregivers in fostering quality interactions with their infants or young children.
  • Coordinate interventions with other TLG and community providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human development, early childhood education, psychology, or related field (or master's degree with one year of experience).
  • Minimum two years of experience working with children with developmental or learning differences.
  • Familiarity with infant-child development and the importance of parent-child relationships.
  • Experience with home visiting, consultation, and family-centered interventions.
