Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Banyan Treatment Centers. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring patient activities, assisting with patient schedules, conducting 1:1 interactions, and maintaining accurate records of patient behaviors and whereabouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care and support to patients, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Monitor and document patient behaviors to ensure safety and compliance, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct headcounts, as instructed by Management, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Promote and support patient safety consistently, demonstrating the ability to deescalate situations.
  • Provide emotional support to patients, referring to Clinical as needed.
  • Communicate with Nursing and Medical if medical assistance is required.
  • Assist with patient transportation, as needed.
  • Conduct urine drug screenings and supervise medication self-administration.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, in compliance with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a Level II background screening through AHCA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in the field of behavioral and/or mental health treatment.
  • An associate's degree (or higher) and/or relevant behavioral health certification.
