The Opportunity
As a representative of Accoravillage, you will embody our core values and guiding principles.
Act as a liaison for Accoravillage with all stakeholders on site.
Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of subcontractors and vendors.
Develop and manage construction timelines in collaboration with the construction team.
Create and implement forward-looking construction plans for site activities.
Assist in managing costs at the site level by enforcing subcontractor agreements and controlling additional expenses.
Ensure quality standards are upheld for all construction activities.Monitor and validate subcontractor progress through completion documentation.
Maintain daily logs of onsite activities using project management software.
Coordinate and manage inspections with third-party inspectors and relevant authorities.
Lead and facilitate trade coordination meetings.
Supervise and direct onsite volunteers, including task assignments and resource provision.
Manage the acquisition and utilization of materials on site.
Obtain quotes and purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies.
Recruit, instruct, and mentor volunteers on safety protocols and task execution.
Lead Onsite Safety Initiatives:
Conduct daily health and safety monitoring, participate in safety committees, and lead safety discussions.
Ensure that the needs of families are prioritized.
Communicate effectively with Project/Volunteer Coordinators for resource management and feedback.
Maintain accurate project documentation in collaboration with the management team.
Engage in training sessions relevant to this role.
Accountable for tasks assigned by the VP of Construction or Director of Construction.
Participate in inspections and reporting processes.
What You Bring
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the residential low-rise construction sector.
Experience with townhouse construction is advantageous.
A degree in construction or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety regulations.
General understanding of civil work, site servicing, and various construction techniques.
Flexible work schedule, typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work.Willingness to work at assigned sites within the region.
