Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Ahtna Construction & Primary Products Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including project planning, budgeting, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors, to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors, to ensure ongoing project success.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, including cost, schedule, and quality risks, to ensure project success.
  • Develop and implement project quality control and assurance processes to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of project success.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of project success.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects, including design-build and bid-build projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management software, including HCSS, Primavera, and Procore.
  • Experience working with Alaska Native cultures and communities.
