Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional, patient-focused care in accordance with departmental requirements and state practice standards. Working collaboratively with medical professionals and the care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing protocols such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision and values to ensure a superior patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

This is a full-time position on the day shift (7am-7pm) within our advanced 30-bed Medical Oncology unit, dedicated to providing specialized care for patients diagnosed with cancer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients.
  • Ensure efficient patient care flow, including screening, preparation for examinations, and general nursing support.
  • Maintain and update patient records, including test results.
  • Administer medications as per physician directives.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Handle incoming calls and provide triage when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or possession of an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross is required.
