About the Job

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Foreperson to lead our arboriculture team in providing top-notch tree trimming and removal services to our utility customers. As a key member of our crew, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient completion of jobs, while maintaining a positive and productive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a tight-knit crew and promote a positive team environment
  • Interpret tree trimming and removal orders and plan daily work for the crew
  • Perform Pre-Job Hazard Surveys and assign work tasks based on individual knowledge and skills
  • Operate aerial lifts and climb trees to trim and remove branches
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, including hand tools, chainsaws, and chippers
  • Remove debris and clean up job sites
  • Mix and apply spray chemicals to preserve desirable vegetation
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and safeguard employees and the public
Requirements
  • Two years or more experience working as a Trimmer/Climber, with experience working around utility lines
  • Ability to lead people and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and arboriculture techniques
  • Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, and PPE
  • Understanding of drawings and symbols representing types of lines, voltage, and line equipment
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license, CDL, and/or medical certificate required for vehicle operation
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR cards
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and job duty skills tests
