Benderson is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Construction Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the successful completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials, and set up equipment.
- Project Execution: Follow project instructions from the construction superintendent, consult with construction plans, and use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
- Health and Safety: Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn, and follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Fill equipment with fuel, maintain company-owned equipment per manufacturers' recommendations and schedule, and ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.
- Project Completion: Assist with project Punch List completion and close-out, install VCT flooring in single bathrooms, and perform small interior paint projects.
- Team Support: Supervise Labor Ready forces when needed and safely operate a variety of tools, including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, and grinders.
- Physical Demands: Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, stoop, kneel, or crouch, use first aid equipment, a fire extinguisher, and power and hand tools, and lift, move, and carry heavy objects.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and proven experience as a construction worker.
- Language Skills: Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
The hourly pay rate for this position is $30.00, with the final offer amount dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
