Position Overview

The Director and Senior Archaeologist at ASM Affiliates will oversee a skilled team in San Diego, guiding significant cultural resource management initiatives across southern California. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state cultural resource regulations, including NEPA and CEQA.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.A. or Ph.D.) in Anthropology, Archaeology, Historical Archaeology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience in cultural resource management.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven experience in business development and proposal preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in southern California and familiarity with Section 106 and CEQA compliance reporting.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience managing cultural resource projects.
  • Experience with major utility and renewable energy clients.
