About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Archaeology Technical Manager to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our cultural resources group, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in archaeological fieldwork, including site recordation, survey, construction monitoring, and excavation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for archaeological fieldwork, including site recordation, survey, construction monitoring, and excavation.
  • Develop and implement cultural resources management plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest archaeological methods, procedures, and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in archaeological fieldwork.
  • Highly proficient expertise in research techniques, analysis, and local/regional prehistoric and/or historic archaeology.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant State and Federal protection regulations, preservation guidelines, and consulting processes.
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior level team or project members.
